Instructions
Soak the saffron strands in 2 tbsp of milk for 2 hours or for quicker use gently warm 2 tbsp milk and saffron in a small saucepan and set aside.
Boil rest of the milk in a pan.
Add khoya and cook for 5 mins.
Add saffron soaked in milk, almonds, cashew nuts, and pistachios and boil on low heat for 40-45 minutes.
Add sugar and cardamom.
Serve hot or chilled
Notes
You can add poppy seeds, chironji, dates or any other dry fruits of your choice
You can change full-fat milk to any vegan milk to make this recipe vegan
