I am the person who signs up for dessert but still wants to be outside with everyone else when the music starts. That is how biscoff banana pudding jars ended up on repeat at our house: everything happens in glasses you can pass around, no slicing drama, and the sides of the jar show off the layers like tiny stained glass.

This is my no-bake mash-up of two ideas I kept seeing around: the big, chilled layered pudding that feels like a party centerpiece, and the quicker bowl version where crushed spice cookies disappear into the cream. Here you get both energies. The cream is fluffy and stable enough to hold layers, a little crushed Biscoff runs through the filling so every spoonful tastes like caramel and cinnamon, and you still tuck fresh banana between the layers so it never reads as “just cookies and cream.” If you want another no-bake win from the blog the same week, our eggless Parle-G cheesecake is a totally different texture story but the same “chill and forget it” rhythm. For a spoonable sweet from the millet series, Easy Rice Kheer with Millet Swaps is a softer, cardamom-forward contrast.

Come make it with me. Read the chill time before you start, because it changes whether your cookies stay perky or go soft and trifle-like.

Why jars instead of one big dish

Portions are honest. You can line them on a tray for Diwali card night, tuck two in the fridge for a weekday treat, or send a jar home with a friend without handing over your only trifle bowl. Wide-mouth jars also forgive imperfect layers. Push a banana coin against the glass once in a while and the stripes look intentional.

What you are building (in plain words)

You whisk instant pudding with milk, sweeten it gently with a little condensed milk so the set stays silky, then fold in thawed whipped topping for air. Fold in crushed Biscoff so the spice is inside the cream, not only on top. Then you stack: cream, cookies, banana, optional vanilla wafer for that old-school wobble, a breath of cinnamon if you like, and a thin drizzle of warmed cookie spread so the layers read “dessert counter special” without extra bowls on the stove.

Test note: After four hours in the fridge the crushed cookies inside the cream are still pleasantly nubby. Overnight they soften almost completely, closer to a classic chilled pudding. I like both; pick your mood and chill accordingly.

Ingredients

Pudding cream

  • 2 boxes instant banana cream pudding mix about 3.4 oz / 99 g each; not cook-and-serve
  • 2 3/4 cups cold whole milk about 650 ml
  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk about 80 ml
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp fine salt optional, balances sweetness
  • 1 tub frozen whipped topping 8 oz / 226 g; fully thawed

Biscoff and layers

  • about 28 to 34 Lotus Biscoff cookies (roughly 200 to 240 g), divided
  • 2 to 3 tbsp smooth Biscoff cookie spread optional but lovely
  • 10 to 14 small vanilla wafer cookies optional
  • 4 medium ripe bananas sliced about 1/4 inch thick
  • ground cinnamon, for a light dusting between layers

Finish

  • extra crushed Biscoff (from reserved cookies)
  • a few banana slices added just before serving

Instructions

Prep cookies and spread

  • Set aside 6 whole Biscoff cookies and 4 wafers if using for garnish. Crush the rest into a mix of fine crumbs and pea-sized pieces (food processor, rolling pin, or sturdy bag).
  • If using cookie spread, warm it slightly until pourable: microwave in short bursts at half power, stirring, or heat in a small pan over low heat. Do not boil.

Pudding base

  • In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until smooth. Let stand 5 minutes so it begins to thicken.
  • Whisk in condensed milk, vanilla, and salt until no streaks remain.
  • Fold in thawed whipped topping until the mixture is uniform and fluffy.
  • Fold in all but about 1/2 cup of the crushed Biscoff (reserve that for topping).

Assemble jars

  • Spoon a thin layer of pudding cream into each jar and tap gently to level.
  • Add a few banana slices, pressing some against the glass if you want visible stripes.
  • Tuck in broken wafer pieces if using, sprinkle a tiny pinch of cinnamon, then drizzle a little warmed cookie spread if you like.
  • Repeat layers until jars are almost full, ending with a cream layer.
  • Cover jars and refrigerate at least 4 hours for firmer cookies inside the cream, or overnight for a softer, more merged texture.

Serve

  • Top with reserved crushed Biscoff, a broken cookie piece or wafer, and fresh banana slices right before serving so the fruit looks bright.

Notes

If the cream looks loose after folding, chill the bowl 20 minutes, then stir once before assembling. Pudding brands vary slightly in set.
For less sweetness, use the smaller end of condensed milk or swap half the condensed milk for an extra 2 tbsp milk and taste after the pudding rests.
For a nuttier finish, add a spoon of lightly toasted chopped almonds between layers.
Store assembled jars covered in the refrigerator up to 2 days. Bananas on top are best added fresh; bananas inside the layers will soften and darken slightly after the first day.

FAQs

Can I make this without condensed milk?

Yes. Skip it and use the milk amount on your pudding box for a single box, then scale up carefully if you double the mix, or taste and adjust sweetness after the pudding rests. The jars will be a little less caramel-forward but still good.

My bananas brown in the jar. What helps?

A tiny squeeze of lemon on the slices helps, but honestly the top fruit should go on right before serving. Inside the layers, a little browning is normal after day one and mostly hides under cream.

Can I use vanilla pudding instead of banana?

Yes. You will taste more cookie and vanilla and a little less banana pudding nostalgia, so add an extra half banana per jar if you still want strong fruit.

Can I try a dairy-free version?

You can experiment with plant milk and coconut-based whipped topping plus a dairy-free condensed milk substitute, but texture varies a lot by brand. Treat the first round as a test batch.

Do I need special jars?

Any short tumbler works. I like wide-mouth half-pint jars because spoons fit and the walls show layers. Tall skinny glasses look elegant but are harder to fill neatly.

Can I freeze these?

I do not recommend it. The whipped topping can weep and the bananas turn mushy. This is a fridge dessert.
