This easy samosa pinwheel is a crowd-pleaser for potlucks or parties. It is flaky, crispy, has a traditional samosa flavor but is very easy to make

Ingredients
  

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
For Stuffing
  • 1 medium potato boiled
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch asafetida
  • 1-2 green chilies chopped
  • ½ tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp amchur powder dry mango powder
  • Mint handful
  • Salt to taste
  • Cashews, raisins, and cilantro handful

Method
 

  1. Thaw puff pastry sheet according to instruction on the package
  2. Heat oil in the pan, add cumin seeds, let it sizzle. Add asafetida.
  3. Immediately add chilies, ginger and garlic paste. Cook for 1 minute
  4. Add boiled and mashed potato
  5. Add garam masala, amchur powder (dry mango powder), salt to taste
  6. Add handful of mint and mix everything and mash with potato masher to make smooth paste
  7. Let it cool down
  8. When the puff pastry sheet is ready to use, spread prepared masala. Leave an inch from all sides
  9. Sprinkle cashew, raisins, and cilantro
  10. Roll all the way tightly and seal it.
  11. Wrap the log in cling wrap and place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  12. Preheat oven or air fryer on 400 F
  13. Take the log out and cut into ½ inch slice
  14. Arrange pinwheels on baking sheet or air fryer
  15. Bake at 400F 15-20 mins until golden brown. Flip once.
  16. Note: Every air fryer and oven is different so make sure you keep an eye on it while baking
  17. Serve hot with tamarind chutney and cilantro chutney
