Alphonso season is the one time of year I stop pretending I will eat mangoes in moderation. The kitchen smells like ripe fruit, cardamom, and whatever mango dessert I am testing that afternoon.

I pulled together twelve mango desserts from our archive for peak summer: no-bake treats, kulfi bites, cakes, popsicles, and the showstoppers I actually make when guests are coming. Every recipe is eggless and tested in our home kitchen. On the same hot afternoon, I often pour aam panna while something chills in the fridge.

Quick Picks

1. Upside-Down Mango Puff Pastry (Eggless, 30 Minutes)

Puff pastry gets a mango upgrade with upside-down caramelized fruit and cardamom honey. I love this when I want something fancy but still eggless and ready in half an hour. Serve warm with chai and watch the pastry disappear.

Yes. Several recipes on this list, including kesari, popsicles, and kheer, work beautifully with canned mango or other ripe varieties when Alphonso season passes.

The mango lassi tres leches cake is my go-to showstopper. It looks stunning, slices cleanly, and tastes even better on day two after chilling overnight.
