This saffron infused milk latte is enriched with dry fruits. Perfect for fall.
Saffron milk with dry fruit
Ingredients
- 500 ml full-fat milk
- 1/8 cup khoya crumbled
- 12-25 strands saffron
- 5-7 almonds sliced
- 5-7 cashew nuts sliced
- 5-7 pistachios sliced
- 2 tbsp sugar adjust according to your taste
- 2 pinch cardamom
Instructions
- Soak the saffron strands in 2 tbsp of milk for 2 hours or for quicker use gently warm 2 tbsp milk and saffron in a small saucepan and set aside.
- Boil rest of the milk in a pan.
- Add khoya and cook for 5 mins.
- Add saffron soaked in milk, almonds, cashew nuts, and pistachios and boil on low heat for 40-45 minutes.
- Add sugar and cardamom.
- Serve hot or chilled
Notes
- You can add poppy seeds, chironji, dates or any other dry fruits of your choice
- You can change full-fat milk to any vegan milk to make this recipe vegan
